About the Embassy

Republic of Indonesia opened diplomatic relations with the United Arab Emirates in 1976. The embassy itself was opened on October 28, 1978 and led by a Chargé d’Affaires, Dr. Abdullatief Taman. On March 29, 1993, the Government of Indonesia sent its first ambassador to UAE, H.E. Abdullah Fuad Rahman. He assumed office after submitting letter of credentials to the Head of State UAE on April 6, 1993.

Working Hours

Our working hours are Sunday to Thursday from 09.00 – 17.00. Office closure is subjected to holidays set up by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of the United Arab Emirates.

For Consular services our working hours are Sunday to Thursday from 09.00. – 13.00 and especially for delivery we are also open at 16.00.–16.30. For your convenience please make sure that you have completed all requirements and conditions, before you come to the Embassy.

It is important to note that for most consular services, the Embassy will be exclusively in the service of residents of the Southern Emirates (Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Ruwais). Other parts of Emirates are suggested to refer to the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Dubai.
